When renewing your driver license or identification card (ID), make sure to get Ohio’s federally compliant REAL-ID card. Beginning March 23, 2023, the federal government will no longer consider a standard driver license or ID as sufficient forms of identification for air travel, entering federal buildings, or military bases. TSA will require a federally compliant driver license, ID, or another acceptable form of identification (such as a US passport or military ID) to fly within the U.S.
